Regulations of Use 利用規則

To ensure the safety, comfort, and convenience of all guests, The Apartment Bay YOKOHAMA (the “Facility”) has established the following Regulations of Use, in accordance with Article 9 of the Terms and Conditions of Stay.
If a Guest fails to comply with these regulations, the Facility may be forced to refuse accommodation and use of the Facility, in accordance with Article 7 Paragraph 1 of the Terms and Conditions of Stay. Guests are therefore requested to observe these regulations carefully.

1. （1）
   Please check the evacuation route map for evacuation from your guest room. The map is posted on the back of the door to each guest room.
2. （2）
   Please be sure to lock the door and apply the door guard when in your room, particularly when going to bed.
3. （3）
   When someone knocks on the door, please open the door with the door guard on, or check with the door viewer. If a suspicious person visits your room, please avoid opening the door carelessly, and report the incident to the front desk.
4. （4）
   This Facility is entirely non-smoking, including guest rooms and balconies. (Except for the designated Smoking Room on the 6th floor)
5. （5）
   Please refrain from using space heaters, gas stoves, incense, or any other acts that may cause a fire within the guest rooms.
6. （6）
   Regarding the handling of equipment and fixtures such as air conditioners and TVs, in guest rooms or elsewhere in the Facility, please use these items carefully according to the precautions, instructions and/or instruction manuals issued by the Facility, and take care not to lose attachments or accessories such as remote controls.
7. （7）
   Please do not take equipment out of guest rooms.
8. （8）
   Actual costs will be charged for any soiling, damage and/or loss of equipment and fixtures inside and outside the Facility.
9. （9）
   Please notify the Facility in advance of the following matters.

      When you will be away from your room for 7 days or more

      When you are expecting a large number of visitors

      Other matters for notification specified by the Facility
10. （10）
    Guests shall not occupy a room in excess of its maximum occupancy limit. In addition, any person who is not registered under the Accommodation Agreement shall not stay overnight in the room without the Facility's prior approval. If an unregistered third party is permitted to stay without such approval, the Facility may terminate the Accommodation Agreement and/or require the unauthorized occupant to leave the Facility immediately.
    【Maximum Occupancy per Room Type】
    The maximum number of occupants for each room type shall be as follows:
    1B-40A, 1B-40B, 1B-40C, Accessible Room: 2 adults and 1 child sharing existing bedding
    1B-60A, 1B-60B: 2 adults and up to 2 children sharing existing bedding
    2B-90, 3B-110, 3B-150: 4 adults and up to 2 children sharing existing bedding
    *Children eligible to share the existing bed must be 12 years old or younger.

   When going out of your room during your stay, please be sure to take the card key and check that the door is locked. (Guest rooms have automatic locks.)
2. （2）
   In order to contribute to the reduction of environmental impact due to excessive use of electricity, water and other resources in guest rooms, please put the card key into the card key insert installed on the wall when entering the room, and pull out the card key when going out.
3. （3）
   Please handle your room key card with care. If a key card is lost, or if reissuance becomes necessary due to loss or any other reason, the Guest shall pay the key card reissuance fee specified by the Facility. Such reissuance fee shall be non-refundable under any circumstances.

   Accommodation fees and fees for additional services must be paid by the applicable payment deadline specified by the Facility.
2. （2）
   The Facility does not provide cash advances or make payments on behalf of guests for expenses such as laundry services, transportation tickets, taxi fares, postage stamps, or shipping charges.
3. （3）
   The Facility does not accept payments by check, including traveler's checks, and does not provide currency exchange services.
4. （4）
   As a general rule, payments at the front desk may only be made by credit card.

   Please use the safety deposit box provided in your room to store valuables during your stay.
2. （2）
   Please note that the Facility shall not be liable for theft during storage, damage or loss due to fire, etc., unless it is found to be due to the willful intent or gross negligence of an employee or employees of the Facility.
3. （3）
   Any lost property found within the Facility will be kept for a certain period. If the owner does not contact the Facility or arrange for collection within such period, the property will be deemed abandoned and may be disposed of at the Facility's discretion.

   The following acts are prohibited.

      Accommodating third parties in guest rooms without prior approval of the Facility.
   2. [2]
      Using the common areas or guest rooms for purposes other than accommodation, and providing services to third parties, conducting business activities, solicitation activities, meetings, or any similar activities without the prior approval of the Facility.
   3. [3]
      Posting room information on the Internet or other media (Airbnb or other similar websites, etc.) that solicits the use of guest rooms to an unspecified or large number of third parties, regardless of whether or not any third party actually uses the Facility’s rooms.
   4. [4]
      Bringing a large safe, furniture or other large items other than personal belongings necessary for daily life into the Facility.
   5. [5]
      Bringing pets (including dogs, cats, birds, or other domestic animals) into the Facility, except for service dogs for persons with disabilities as defined under the Act on Assistance Dogs for Persons with Physical Disabilities.
   6. [6]
      Bringing explosives, large amounts of combustibles or significantly odorous items, or large amounts of acids, alkalis or deleterious drugs, etc., into the Facility.
   7. [7]
      Bringing or playing a piano or any other musical instrument, hold large, noisy gatherings, or use a television, audio equipment, or other device at a loud volume within the guest rooms or its common areas;
   8. [8]
      Installing, posting or filling in advertisement-related signboards or signs, etc., in the mailbox areas, guest room doors or around doors.
   9. [9]
      Entering common areas (outside guest rooms) while naked, wearing a yukata, bathrobe, slippers, etc.
   10. [10]
       Gambling or other acts that disrupt public morals, or acts or behavior that may cause inconvenience to other Guests, etc.
   11. [11]
       Making significant changes to the current state of the Facility, such as moving equipment or fixtures in the Facility, adding structures or remodeling guest rooms without the permission of the Facility.
   12. [12]
       Placing any items in the common areas or hallways of this facility (including unattended package deliveries at guest room doors).
   13. [13]
       Placing any items on the window side of a guest room that may impair the appearance of the Facility.
   14. [14]
       Leaving or storing personal belongings or any other items on the balconies of the Facility.
   15. [15]
       Drying bedding, rugs or laundry, etc., on the balconies of the Facility.
   16. [16]
       Distributing advertising or promotional materials, selling goods, soliciting business, or engaging in any other commercial activities.
   17. [17]
       Using any photographs, videos, or other images taken within the Facility for business or commercial purposes without the prior approval of the Facility.
   18. [18]
       Taking photographs, videos, or other recordings that may infringe upon the privacy of other guests, visitors, or employees, or posting such photographs, videos, or recordings on social media or any other medium without the consent of the individuals concerned.
   19. [19]
       Entering areas of the Facility other than those provided for use by Guests, such as emergency stairwells and machine rooms, except in emergencies or other unavoidable circumstances.
   20. [20]
       Smoking in any common area or guest room (including balconies), except in the designated smoking room provided by the Facility.
   21. [21]
       Using excessive amounts of perfume, incense, or other odor-producing substances.
2. （2）
   If the Facility or other Guests, etc. suffer inconvenience due to a violation of the preceding paragraph, you will be required to pay compensation to the Facility and/or other Guests, etc.

   Use of the Facility by designated organized crime groups and designated organized crime group members, etc., as provided for under the Act on Prevention of Unjust Acts by Organized Crime Group Members (enforced on March 1, 1992) is refused. (If the fact is discovered after a reservation is made, or during use, subsequent use will be refused from that time onward.)
2. （2）
   Use of the Facility by antisocial groups and antisocial group members (including organized crime groups or extremist groups, etc., and their members) is refused. (If the fact is discovered after a reservation is made, or during use, subsequent use will be refused from that time onward.)
3. （3）
   Use of the Facility will be refused immediately to persons found to have engaged in violence, intimidation, extortion, intimidating and unreasonable demands, or other similar acts. Use of the Facility will also be refused to persons who have committed similar acts in the past.
4. （4）
   Use of the Facility will be refused immediately if it is found difficult for a person to secure their own safety, such as due to diminished mental capacity or loss of sanity due to use of drugs, etc., or that a person may cause danger, fear or anxiety to other Guests, etc.
5. （5）
   Use of the Facility will also be refused if any other act related to the above acts is discovered.

   When using the Facility’s Internet connection service, please take sufficient security measures and use the services at your own responsibility and judgment.
2. （2）
   The service does not guarantee communication speeds.
3. （3）
   When using the service, Guests are required to cover the cost of paid services on the Internet.
4. （4）
   The service may be suspended without prior notice if the Facility finds it necessary to perform maintenance of telecommunications equipment, repair or renovation work on the Facility, or in other cases where the Facility finds it necessary to do so.
5. （5）
   The following acts are prohibited when using the service. If the following acts are discovered, the Facility will immediately discontinue provision of the service.

      Sending spam emails

      Exchanging files
   3. [3]
      Acts that infringe upon a third party’s copyrights and other rights
   4. [4]
      Acts that are offensive to public order and morals
   5. [5]
      Acts that violate laws and regulations
   6. [6]
      Acts that violate the precautions and conditions of using the service
6. （6）
   The Facility shall not be held liable for any damages whatsoever caused by the use of—or inability to use—the service. The Facility shall also not be held liable for Internet sites accessed using the service.

1. （1）
   Guests are requested to follow the Facility’s instructions regarding hours of use and how to use the lobby, fitness gym and other facilities. In principle, the use of facilities is limited to Guests.
2. （2）
   Guests are required to agree to and comply with the following rules when using the fitness gym inside the Facility.

      The fitness gym is to be used at the Guest’s own risk, and the Guest agrees in advance not to claim damages or compensation, etc., from the Facility.
   2. [2]
      The fitness gym is available for use 24 hours a day, but these hours are subject to change without notice due to reasons attributable to the Facility.

To ensure the safety and proper maintenance of the Facility, the Facility may conduct periodic window cleaning, inspections and repairs of fire safety equipment, plumbing systems, and other in-room facilities, as well as other necessary cleaning and maintenance work. Guests shall cooperate with the entry of Facility staff into the guest room and with the performance of such work.

Guests shall comply with the separate document entitled "House Rules & Guidelines" provided by the Facility, which forms part of these Regulations of Use.
